Banned by Adsense?

It seems like people are constantly being banned by Adsense, especially if they're using black hat techniques or trying to scam the system.

Have you ever been banned? Was it because you were actually doing something wrong or was it fair? How much money did you lose?

I've been with the Adsense program for almost two years and I've never been banned by Google. I fear being banned but I think if one adheres to the rules and policies of the program, one will be safe from being banned by Google.

Just remember you can't always control what visitors to your site do. I helped a friend of mine with a paid to post forum that he was setting up and we got banned by adsense.   We were not in violation- we weren't promoting clicking, there was no blackhat tecniques etc.  But adsense told us we recieved an unusual number of clicks for a period of 3 days.  Essentially a one-man DDOS attack.

That sounds quite unfair. Did you ever file a complaint? They should store that kind of info somewhere in their site.

I've never used adsense, I have been thinking about trying it though.
